Placing behind in second is Apple with a total of 51,039 hashtags. Apple Park, which opened in 2017 is known for its circular design leading it to be dubbed “the spaceship” and cost a staggering $5 billion to construct. Steve Jobs wanted the campus to look like a nature refuge rather than a regular business park, and he achieved just that with 80 percent of the site consisting of green space.
In third is the Meta, previously known as Facebook, headquarters with 30,056 hashtags in total. The 430,000 square foot campus construction costs have also gone over the $ 1 billion dollar mark and was designed with the focus of creating a social environment which includes glass walls, open rooms, and plenty of green space.
Coming in fourth is the Amazon HQ with 24,110 total hashtags and completing the top five is Nike’s headquarters with 17,985 hashtags in total.
Rounding off the top ten is BMW’s HQ with 4,458 hashtags. Their headquarters is recognised as one of the most unique offices in the world, with the main structure being built to resemble the pistons of an engine.
Does going into the office help productivity?
As we all know, the pandemic has completely changed the way we go about our daily work lives, with many companies implementing strict work-from-home policies or a more flexible hybrid approach. But does that mean we should never go back to work? Going into the office and remote working both have significant advantages and disadvantages, but Aoife Lynch, a spokesperson for Wellbox.co.uk, has shared their thoughts on why going into the office isn't all bad.
Improves employee wellbeing
Employee well-being is a key determinant of whether or not a workforce is successful. Thousands of people have admitted to having more problems with their mental health than usual as a result of the isolation caused by lockdowns and work-from-home policies. Going to work can help employees feel less isolated, and it also keeps work and home life separate.
Optimizes innovation and collaboration
Offices play an important role in employee innovation and collaboration by providing a space for creative productivity as well as areas for employees to relax. It is much easier to come up with brand new ideas and solutions as a group, as you are able to develop and bounce ideas off of each other.
Guaranteed workplace standards
Workplaces are required by law to maintain certain standards for their employees, such as office temperature, work furniture, and equipment. Working at the office has the advantage of providing employees with equal working conditions. People working from home, for example, may not have the proper setup.
Tips on how to get jobs at the world’s best companies
Aoife Lynch from Wellbox also reveals some handy tips on how to secure a job at one of these leading companies …
“Networking is a way to get noticed by companies featured in this research so it is important that you are using sites, such as Linkedin, to make yourself known to employers. Additionally you may also benefit from reaching out to old coworkers and university friends. As well as making new friends within the industry who could refer you to someone within your target company.
One way to create a relationship with potential future employers is to look for management that would be above you if you worked at the desired company. Perhaps send a message and ask for an informational interview discussing the company, their values, and what they expect from their workforce. This is a perfect way to gather information about the company that might help you down the line in the interview process.
Matching your Resume to the position is an easy and effective way to market yourself to the employer, making sure that you highlight how your experience and skill set suits the position advertised. By making a point of a position that you have held which shares similarities to the job description, you are making it obvious that you are a good match for the role. A way to test this is to ask a friend to see if your resume matches the job description within the first half of the resume.”
